Obregonia denegrei

This choice, and very distinctive, cactus comes from Mexico. It is slow growing and needs to be treated with a little caution, though it is not too difficult to grow. Once mature it will flower each year. The plants pictured were seed raised and are five years old (the first flower was produced after four years).
