Trichocaulon cactiforme
The taxonomists have had a field day in recent years
with this plant, placing it in variously named genera in honour of Larry
Leach, but most hobbyists seem content to retain their old labels! Whatever
it is called this South African plant, from Cape Province, is a beauty.
Its globose stems elongating with age, occasionally offsetting, produce
large numbers of these smallish flowers.
